# Wind Rose

Wind can also have a lot of influence on the way you design your building. As an asset, wind can help facilitate natural ventilation – think of a nice breeze on a hot day. The wind can also be harnessed to generate electricity via windmills, although this is typically not as efficient as PV for small-scale applications. As a hindrance, wind can drive moisture and water through small gaps and punctures in your building envelope, resulting in potentially devastating consequences if not properly controlled.
